Class of 2017 Graduates

As the Spring semester comes to a close, a new wave of graduates start their next chapter in life. We would like to congratulate the Spring 2017 graduates on this great achievement, and give a special congratulations to our brothers that will set forth on their new endeavors. Time will come and go, but the traditions, principles and ideals of Lambda Chi Alpha will never fade. Strive to continue the leadership that has made you grow as a student, man and a brother. As always; naught without labor.

Brothers in Action – Rush Elementary

Brothers in Action – Rush Elementary

The Brothers of Lambda Chi Alpha took time out of their finals week to meet up at Rush Elementary and help their staff began the process of refurbishing a locker room for a pool owned by the school. Painting, caulking, taping and cleaning up trash from the premise. We spent the afternoon giving back to the local community and in return we grew a deeper passion for the Lubbock community.

Brothers in Action – Lubbock Dream Center

Today the gentlemen of Lambda Chi Alpha were able to help the Lubbock Dream Center by participating in their food pantry and adopt-a-block program. Brothers served in activities such as trash pick-up, packaging food, and distributing meal packages to those in need through their mobile food truck. The Lubbock Dream Center is an amazing organization that works extremely hard to inspire, aid, and support the Lubbock Community.

Watermelon Bash 2016

Watermelon Bash 2016

We got together 540 watermelons from our local farmers; having a good majority of them thrown and beaten with bats, but the best were saved for a watermelon eating contest to establish the true winning team. We had a total of 23 teams come out to our event, totaling to about 120 girls. We partnered up with Lubbock’s local South Plains Food Bank raising up to 1,205 dollars and providing 3,615 meals for our…

Pledges – Who Needs Them?

Pledges – Who Needs Them?

At General Assembly, 40 years ago, Executive Vice President George Spasyk introduced a revolutionary new idea to the fraternal world: associate membership. This change, as Spasyk concluded, was probably one of the most significant developments in the history of Lambda Chi Alpha. Through associate membership, new members were to be treated as equals with the same rights and rules as all brothers. By abolishing the pledge program, generations of brothers have made a commitment to treat each other as equals…
