The Impact of the Brotherhood

The Impact of the Brotherhood

As Texas Tech Lambda Chi Alpha Alumni, we have a strong commitment to giving back. The positive impact of becoming part of Sigma Nu Zeta can’t be overstated. Leaving home and venturing off to college requires an adjustment that’s made easier by becoming involved in an organization that emphasizes community and camaraderie. The benefits extend well beyond graduation as lifelong friendships are formed, and opportunities to give back to the chapter are their own reward. As alumni, we understand the value of the brotherhood in helping us succeed, and we want to help provide that experience for those that come after us.

Alumni Al Wolstein shared that he, “would not have made it through college without the fraternity.” SNZ provided a much-needed anchor for him. By joining the brotherhood, he took on the chapter’s academic goals which gave him the motivation to work harder. As an active, Al learned valuable leadership skills. He says that to be successful at a university, “it helps to have something bigger than yourself.” The social interaction was a huge boost for him as he navigated through his college career. He advises that “The more you put in, the more you get out if it.” Al knows firsthand how integral SNZ is to the actives’ success at Texas Tech. That’s what motivates him to stay involved and to give back.
