This year’s Watermelon Bash was turned into a week long event that pitted some of Texas Tech’s sororities against each other in a competition to promote and collect food for the South Plains Food Bank.  The sororities that took part in this year’s event were Delta Gamma (ΔΓ), Kappa Delta (KΔ), Alpha Delta Pi (ΑΔΠ), Chi Omega (ΧΩ), and Alpha Chi Omega (AΧΩ). Together we collected a couple hundred non perishable food items as well as an extra $600 to donate to the South Plains Food Bank. Chi Omega took the gold and overall this year’s Watermelon Bash was a smashing success.
